For your consideration is this stunning. Diecasters NY’Phantom’ clock. Patented in 1937 and marketed through about 1940, its design is attributed to company owner, Frank N. This clock features the rarer black anodized aluminum face with chrome plated dial, base, outer ring, and stepped hands. The asymmetrical base has shallow steps, and the dial is supported by a black lacquered skyscraper-form post. Its height is about 10 1/2 inches. Powered by a 30-hour mechanical movement. This clock is in terrific shape for its age. The black dial insert is flawless, as are the skyscraper hands and post. The chrome elements display some age-consistent surface wear. The clock movement has been cleaned and lubricated, and it functions perfectly.
